The responsibilities of the Maryland General Service Host Committee
are:
| 1. |
Attend the Area Assembly and Area Committee
meetings |
| 2. |
Coordinate requests from Districts to host Area 29 Committee
or Assembly meetings and reports this information, along with location
and directions, to the Registrar and Chairman to help them prepare the
annual meeting calendar and Agenda mailing. |
| 3. |
Coordinate, with
the District, the purchase of food and supplies necessary for each Area
Assembly and Area Committee meeting. |
| 4. |
Coordinate, with
the District, the preparation and presentation of the meal that it is
to serve at each Area Assembly and Area Committee meeting. |
| 5. |
Coordinate,
with the District, donations from each AA member in attendance at the
Area Assembly or Area Committee meeting who partakes of the meal. |
| 6. |
Coordinate,
with the District, the cleaning and closing down of the service area
and kitchen after each meal at each Area Assembly and Area Committee
meeting. |
| 7. |
Provide ongoing guidance and suggestions to Districts, up to
and including the day of the meeting. |
| 8. |
Prepare the
annual Area Meeting Host budget request to submit to the Finance
Committee in October of each year and is prepared, with supporting
documentation, to answer any questions that may be asked during the
budget approval process in December. |
| 9. |
Form a working
committee of AA members to assist in carrying out the performance of
these responsibilities. |

their preparations for the meeting they will be hosting. Also linked is
an Expense Voucher to be used to request reimbursement for expenses
incurred. Check the MGS
Calendar to make sure the meeting you are hosting has been
posted.
